ABSTRACT:

I trained under the Rick, owner of Book Cover Designs, based in Tennessee. For a few months I was his assistant while I did some training on how he designs books. The ones shown below are a few he tested me with. I am still currently in contact with him and assist in work every now and again.

The Captive and the Prince

Rick Schroeppel challenged me to remake the book cover I made in college. The picture on the left represents the final look of what I submitted to him. The images below was what I submitted in college.

Risky Love

Rick tried to tone in a specific genre to me which was romance. There were many constructive comments that he gave to me to help me through specific genres, one of which being to never put cursive as a title. Also, have the words fill up two thirds of the page, but give room for the picture if it is important. For example, maybe take the sub-heading and move it to the left of the woman, so she can come to light a little more. Also to brighten the light more instead of making things so faded.
